Dr. Silvia Ferabolli

 

Silvia Ferabolli is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics and International Relations at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Brazil. She holds a PhD in Politics and International Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Currently, she coordinates the Graduate Programme in International Strategic Studies at UFRGS.

"It is my contention that the attitude of debasement and erasure towards Arab regionalism that is common-place in International Relations weakens state and non-state regional organizations in the Arab world and very few are benefiting from it. That is why I propose that the several regional institutions that bind the Arab region together receive more scholarly and political attention and support.
